Peter’s newfound career began in 2007 when he was involved in a serious motorcycle accident which very nearly cost him his life. Through his long and difficult recovery, he developed first-hand experience of the challenges faced by people recovering from, or living with, injury and disability.
Realising the unique needs of these people and seeing the limitation of existing systems and therapies to support them, in 2015 Peter founded his company Determined2, to develop and deliver his world first service called Immersion Therapy.
Determined2 is an industry partner to the University of South Australia’s School of Allied Health and Human Performance which is conducting research into the holistic wellbeing and health outcomes of Immersion Therapy and working with leading doctors from Royal Adelaide Hospital Hyperbaric Unit on the evolution of underwater medical standards.
Peter believes that people are not defined by the challenges they face, but by the way they choose to face them, he is passionate about innovating person-centred approaches and services to help people believe in themselves, empower individual choice and achieve better outcomes.
